Bobby Tulloch Project
www.bobbytulloch.com
This project’s objective was to set up a website and computer to allow access to the collection of transparencies by Bobby Tulloch – a well know Shetland naturalist. This would allow groups of young people to access and look at the images from the Old Haa Museum itself through the computer, as well as making the photographs accessible to the rest of the world through the internet. To develop the project the Old Haa employed a young person to help to develop the project over the Summer months. Images include pictures of wildlife in the islands, and the site is to be expanded in the future to include Greenland and Faeroe.
The website is also able to promote the Old Haa by including information on wildlife walks, etc. in the area. As well as this, the project will promote and exploit opportunities presented by new technologies and know-how, in the sphere of culture and heritage, as well as supporting innovative approaches which reflect the potential value of the high quality natural resources of the Islands.
Leader+ assistance of £2,450 was awarded to the Bobby Tulloch Project.
